korean peninsula energy development organizationSec. 562. None of the funds appropriated by this Act, or prior Acts making appropriations for foreign operations, export financing, and related programs, may be made available for assistance to the Korean Peninsula Energy Organization (KEDO): Provided, That the President may waive this restriction and provide up to $5,000,000 of funds appropriated under the heading “Nonproliferation, Anti-Terrorism, Demining and Related Programs” for assistance to KEDO for administrative expenses only notwithstanding any other provision of law, if he determines that it is vital to the national security interests of the United States and provides a written policy justification to the appropriate congressional committees: Provided further, That funds may be obligated for assistance to KEDO subject to the regular notification procedures of the Committees on Appropriations.
