SEC. 2028. INDEPENDENT PEER REVIEW AND MANNER OF COMPLIANCE. Section 1916 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300x–4) is amended: (1) in paragraph (5), by amending such paragraph to read as follows: 102 STAT. 4200 “(5) the State will provide for periodic independent peer review to assess the quality and appropriateness of treatment services provided by entities that receive funds from the State pursuant to this subpart.”; and (2) by striking the matter after and below paragraph (15).
