PROHIBITION ON COMPETITION OF THE NEXT GENERATION DESTROYER (DD(X))Sec. 1019. (a) No funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act, or by prior Acts, may be obligated or expended to prepare for, conduct, or implement a strategy for the acquisition 119 STAT. 251 of the next generation destroyer (DD(X)) program through a winner-take-all strategy.(b) Winner-take-all Strategy Defined.—In this section, the term “winner-take-all strategy”, with respect to the acquisition of destroyers under the next generation destroyer program, means the acquisition (including design and construction) of such destroyers through a single shipyard.
