Sec. 8124. (a) Increase in Rate of Basic Pay.—(1) Increase.—Footnote 2 to the table on Enlisted Members in section 601(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (Public Law 108–136; 37 U.S.C. 1009 note) is amended by striking “or Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard” and inserting “Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, or Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff”.(2) Effective date.—The amendment made by paragraph (1) shall take effect on September 1, 2005, and shall apply with respect to months beginning on or after that date.(b) Personal Money Allowance.—Section 414(c) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking “or the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard” and inserting “the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, or the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff”.
