SEC. 217. SINGLE SET OF REQUIREMENTS FOR ARMY AND MARINE CORPS HEAVY LIFT ROTORCRAFT PROGRAM.(a) Joint Requirement.—The Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Navy shall develop a single set of requirements for the Joint Heavy Lift program for the Army and the Marine Corps.(b) Approval by JROC Required.—The Secretary of Defense may not authorize entry into Systems Development and Demonstration for the next-generation heavy lift rotorcraft until the single joint requirement required by subsection (a) has been approved by the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.(c) Exception.—This section does not apply to the CH–53X Heavy Lift Replacement Program.
