SEC. 519. SENSE OF CONGRESS ON CERTAIN MATTERS RELATING TO THE NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVES. It is the sense of Congress—(1) to recognize the important and integral role played by members of the Active Guard and Reserve and military technicians (dual status) in the efforts of the Armed Forces; and(2) to urge the Secretary of Defense to promptly resolve issues relating to appropriate authority for payment of reenlistment bonuses stemming from reenlistment contracts entered into between January 14, 2005, and April 17, 2005, involving members of the Army National Guard and military technicians (dual status).
