SEC. 5202. REVISION OF PERIOD FOR PROVIDING PAYMENT FOR CLAIMS THAT ARE NOT SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY.(a) Revision.—(1) Part a.—Section 1816(c)(3)(B)(ii) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395h(c)(3)(B)(ii)) is amended by striking “26 days” and inserting “28 days”.(2) Part b.—Section 1842(c)(3)(B)(ii) of such Act (42 U.S.C. 1395u(c)(3)(B)(ii)) is amended by striking “26 days” and inserting “28 days”.(b) Effective Date.—The amendments made by this section shall apply to claims submitted on or after January 1, 2006.
