SEC. 7252. ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICE OF JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION. (a) Deputy Administrator.—Section 201(c) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5611(c)) is amended— (1) in the first sentence by striking “and whose” and all that follows through “Act”, and (2) in the last sentence by striking “also”. (b) Technical and Conforming Amendments.—(1) Section 103(5) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5603(5)) is amended by striking “section 201(c)” and inserting “section 201(b)”. (2) Section 206(a)(1) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5616(a)(1)) is amended by striking “the Deputy Administrator of the Institute for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention,”. (3) Section 5315 of title 5, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: “Administrator, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.”. (4) Section 5316 of title 5, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to the Associate Administrator, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention of the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration.
