APPLICABILITY OF JOINT DUTY ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS LIMITED TO GRADUATES OF NATIONAL DEFENSE UNIVERSITY SCHOOLS.

SEC. 518. APPLICABILITY OF JOINT DUTY ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS LIMITED TO GRADUATES OF NATIONAL DEFENSE UNIVERSITY SCHOOLS.(a) Applicability.—Section 663 of title 10, United States Code, is amended—(1) in subsection (a), by striking “a joint professional military education school” and inserting “a school within the National Defense University specified in subsection (c)”; and(2) in subsection (b)—(A) in paragraph (1), by striking “a joint professional military education school” and inserting “a school within the National Defense University specified in subsection (c)”; and(B) in paragraph (2), by striking “a joint professional military education school” and inserting “a school referred to in paragraph (1)”.(b) Covered Schools Within NDU.—Such section is further amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:“(c) Covered Schools Within the National Defense University.—For purposes of this section, a school within the National Defense University specified in this subsection is one of the following:“(1) The National War College.“(2) The Industrial College of the Armed Forces.“(3) The Joint Forces Staff College.”.
