SEC. 585. REPORT ON OMISSION OF SOCIAL SECURITY ACCOUNT NUMBERS FROM MILITARY IDENTIFICATION CARDS.(a) Report Required.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report setting forth the assessment of the Secretary of the feasibility of utilizing military identification cards that do not contain, display, or exhibit the social security account number of the individual identified by a military identification card.(b) Military Identification Card Defined.—In this section, the term “military identification card” means a card or other form of identification used for purposes of demonstrating eligibility for any benefit from the Department of Defense.
