Sec. 775. (a) In General.—The Secretary of Health and Human Services, on behalf of the United States may, whenever the Secretary deems desirable, relinquish to the State of Arkansas all or part of the jurisdiction of the United States over the lands and properties encompassing the Jefferson Labs campus in the State of Arkansas that are under the supervision or control of the Secretary.(b) Terms.—Relinquishment of jurisdiction under this section may be accomplished, under terms and conditions that the Secretary deems advisable,(1) by filing with the Governor of the State of Arkansas a notice of relinquishment to take effect upon acceptance thereof; or(2) as the laws of such State may otherwise provide.(c) Definition.—In this section, the term “Jefferson Labs campus” means the lands and properties of the National Center for Toxicological Research and the Arkansas Regional Laboratory.
