NATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES.

SEC. 724. NATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES. (a) General Accounting Office.— The Comptroller General of the United States shall prepare and submit to the Congress not later than June 30, 1988, a report on the number of homeless children and youth in all States. (b) Secretarial Responsibilities.— (1) The Secretary shall monitor and review compliance with the provisions of this subtitle in accordance with the provisions of the General Education Provisions Act. (2) The Secretary shall prepare and submit a report to the Congress on the programs and activities authorised by this subtitle at the end of each fiscal year. (3) The Secretary shall compile and submit a report to the Congress containing the information received from the States pursuant to section 722(d)(3) within 45 days of its receipt.
