Sec. 8037. Of the funds made available in this Act under the heading “Defense Production Act Purchases”, not less than $18,400,000 shall be made available for the competitive, domestic 121 STAT. 1323 expansion of essential vacuum induction melting furnace capacity and vacuum arc remelting furnace capacity for military aerospace and other defense applications: Provided, That the facility must be owned and operated by an approved supplier to the military departments and to defense industry original equipment manufacturers.
