SEC. 1001. REPORT ON DIFFICULTY IN CASHING TREASURY CHECKS. Not later than 6 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study and transmit a report to the Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate on the extent to which individuals who receive Treasury checks have difficulty cashing such checks.
