SEC. 708. INCLUSION OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE IN DEFINITION OF HEALTH CARE AND REPORT ON MENTAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES.(a) Inclusion of Mental Health Care in Definition of Health Care.—Section 1072 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:“(10) The term ‘health care’ includes mental health care.”.(b) Report on Access to Mental Health Care Services.—Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the adequacy of access to mental health services under the TRICARE program, including in the geographic areas where surveys on the continued viability of TRICARE Standard and TRICARE Extra are conducted under section 711 of this Act.
