SEC. 565. AUTHORIZATION AND REQUEST FOR AWARD OF MEDAL OF HONOR TO PRIVATE GEORGE D. WILSON FOR ACTS OF VALOR AS ONE OF ANDREWS’ RAIDERS DURING THE CIVIL WAR.(a) Authorization.—The President is authorized and requested to award the Medal of Honor under section 3741 of title 10, United States Code, posthumously to Private George D. Wilson of Company B, 2nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment for the acts of valor described in subsection (b).(b) Acts of Valor Described.—The acts of valor referred to in subsection (a) are the actions of George D. Wilson as one of Andrews’ Raiders during the Civil War on April 12, 1862.
