SEC. 2202. MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT AND ENROLLMENT METHODS. Section 1237(b) of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3837(b)) is amended—(1) by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following new paragraph:“(1) Maximum enrollment.—The total number of acres enrolled in the wetlands reserve program shall not exceed 3,041,200 acres.”;(2) in paragraph (2), by striking “The Secretary” and inserting “Subject to paragraph (3), the Secretary”; and(3) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:“(3) Acreage owned by indian tribes.—In the case of acreage owned by an Indian tribe, the Secretary shall enroll acreage into the wetlands reserve program through the use of—“(A) a 30-year contract (the value of which shall be equivalent to the value of a 30-year easement);“(B) restoration cost-share agreements; or“(C) any combination of the options described in subparagraphs (A) and (B).”.
