Sec. 10501. (a) Rescission.—Of amounts previously made available from “Federal Emergency Management Agency—Disaster Relief” to the State of Mississippi pursuant to section 404 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5170c) for Hurricane Katrina, an additional $20,000,000 is rescinded.(b) Appropriation.—For “Federal Emergency Management Agency—State and Local Programs”, there is appropriated an additional $20,000,000, to remain available until expended, for a grant 122 STAT. 3593 to the State of Mississippi for an interoperable communications system required in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
