SEC. 101. TYPES OF MILK TO BE INCLUDED IN SCHOOL LUNCHES. (a) Elimination of Duplicate Provisions.— Section 9(a) of the National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1758(a)), as similarly amended first by section 322 of the School Lunch and Child Nutrition Amendments of 1986, as contained in Public Law 99–500 (100 Stat. 1783–361), later by section 322 of the School Lunch and Child Nutrition Amendments of 1986, as contained in Public Law 99–591 (100 Stat. 3341–364), and later by section 4202 of the Child Nutrition Amendments of 1986, as contained in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987 (Public Law 99–661), is amended to read as if only the latest amendment was enacted. (b) General Authority.— Paragraph (2) of section 9(a) of the National School Lunch Act (as amended by subsection (a) of this section) (42 U.S.C. 1758(a)) is amended to read as follows: “(2) Lunches served by schools participating in the school lunch program under this Act shall offer students fluid whole milk and fluid unflavored lowfat milk.”.
