SEC. 356. TRANSFER OF C–12 AIRCRAFT TO CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION.(a) Authority.—The Secretary of the Army may convey to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (hereinafter in this section referred to as “CAL FIRE”) all right, title, and interest of the United States in three C–12 aircraft that the Secretary has determined are surplus to need.(b) Conveyance at No Cost to the United States.—The conveyance of an aircraft authorized by this section shall be made at no cost to the United States. Any costs associated with such conveyance, costs of determining compliance with terms of the conveyance, and costs of operation and maintenance of the aircraft conveyed shall be borne by CAL FIRE.
