SEC. 531. INCREASE IN MAXIMUM PERIOD OF REENLISTMENT OF REGULAR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES.(a) Increase to Eight-Year Maximum.—Section 505(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended—(1) in paragraph (2), by striking “six years” and inserting “eight years”; and(2) in paragraph (3)(A), by striking “six years” and inserting “eight years”.(b) Conforming Amendment Regarding Reenlistment Bonus.—Section 308(a)(2)(A)(ii) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking “not to exceed six”.
