CONVEYANCE, NAVY DRYDOCK, ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS.
SEC. 1011. CONVEYANCE, NAVY DRYDOCK, ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS.(a) Conveyance Authorized.—The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to convey the floating drydock AFDL–23, located in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Gulf Copper Ship Repair, that company being the current lessee of the drydock.(b) Condition of Conveyance.—The Secretary shall require as a condition of the conveyance under subsection (a) that the drydock remain at the facilities of Gulf Copper Ship Repair, at Aransas Pass, Texas, until at least September 30, 2010.(c) Consideration.—As consideration for the conveyance of the drydock under subsection (a), the purchaser shall provide compensation to the United States the value of which, as determined by the Secretary, is equal to the fair market value of the drydock, as determined by the Secretary. The Secretary shall take into account amounts paid by, or due and owing from, the lessee.(d) Transfer at No Cost to United States.—The provisions of section 7306(c) of title 10, United States Code, shall apply to the conveyance under this section.(e) Additional Terms and Conditions.—The Secretary may require such additional terms and conditions in connection with the conveyance under subsection (a) as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States.
