EXPLORATION RISK MITIGATION PLAN.
SEC. 406. EXPLORATION RISK MITIGATION PLAN.(a) Plan.—The Administrator shall prepare a plan that identifies and prioritizes the human and technical risks that will need to be addressed in carrying out human exploration beyond low Earth orbit and the research and development activities required to address those risks. The plan shall address the role of the International Space Station in exploration risk mitigation and 122 STAT. 4790 include a detailed description of the specific steps being taken to utilize the International Space Station for that purpose.(b) Report.—The Administrator shall transmit to the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate the plan described in subsection (a) not later than one year after the date of enactment of this Act.
