Office of the Assistant Secretary for Governmental and Public Affairs For necessary expenses of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Governmental and Public Affairs to carry out the programs funded in this Act, $414,000. public affairs For necessary expenses to carry on services relating to the coordination of programs involving public affairs, and for the dissemination of agricultural information and the coordination of information, work and programs authorized by Congress in the Department, $7,964,000 including employment pursuant to the second sentence of section 706(a) of the Organic Act of 1944 (7 U.S.C. 2225), of which not to exceed $10,000 shall be available for employment under 5 U.S.C. 3109, and not to exceed $2,000,000, may be used for farmers’ bulletins and not fewer than two hundred thirty-two thousand two hundred and fifty copies for the use of the Senate and House of Representatives of part 2 of the annual report of the Secretary (known as the Yearbook of Agriculture) as authorized by 44 U5.C. 1301: Provided, That in the preparation of motion pictures or exhibits by the Department, this appropriation shall be available for employment pursuant to the second sentence of section 706(a) of the Organic Act of 1944 (7 U.S.C. 2225). congressional relations For necessary expenses for liaison with the Congress on legislative matters, $542,000. 103 STAT. 954 intergovernmental affairs For necessary expenses for programs involving intergovernmental affairs and liaison within the executive branch, $479,000.
