SEC. 731. REPORT REGARDING BORDER SECURITY.(a) In General.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall submit to Congress a report regarding ongoing initiatives of the Department of Homeland Security to improve security along the northern border of the United States.(b) Contents.—The report submitted under subsection (a) shall—(1) address the vulnerabilities along the northern border of the United States; and(2) provide recommendations to address such vulnerabilities, including required resources needed to protect the northern border of the United States.(c) Government Accountability Office.—Not later than 270 days after the date of the submission of the report under subsection (a), the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to Congress a report that—(1) reviews and comments on the report under subsection (a); and(2) provides recommendations regarding any additional actions necessary to protect the northern border of the United States.121 STAT. 352
