Federal Bureau of Investigation salaries and expenses For necessary expenses of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for detection, investigation, and prosecution of crimes against the United States, $7,658,622,000, of which $101,066,000 is designated as being for overseas deployments and other activities pursuant to sections 401(c)(4) and 423(a)(1) of S. Con. Res. 13 (111th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2010; and of which not to exceed $150,000,000 shall remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $205,000 shall be available for official reception and representation expenses: Provided further, That notwithstanding section 205 of this Act, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, upon a determination that additional funding is necessary to carry out construction of the Biometrics Technology Center, may transfer from amounts available for “Salaries and Expenses” to amounts available for “Construction” up to $30,000,000 in fees collected to defray expenses for the automation of fingerprint identification and criminal justice information services and associated costs: Provided further, That any transfer made pursuant to the previous proviso shall be subject to section 505 of this Act. construction For all necessary expenses, to include the cost of equipment, furniture, and information technology requirements, related to construction or acquisition of buildings, facilities and sites by purchase, or as otherwise authorized by law; conversion, modification and extension of Federally-owned buildings; and preliminary planning and design of projects; $239,915,000, to remain available until expended.
