Sec. 529. (a) Of the unobligated balances available to the Department of Justice from prior appropriations, the following funds are hereby rescinded, not later than September 30, 2010, from the following accounts in the specified amounts—(1) “Legal Activities, Assets Forfeiture Fund”, $387,200,000;(2) “Federal Bureau of Investigation, Salaries and Expenses”, $50,000,000;(3) “Office of Justice Programs”, $54,000,000; and(4) “Community Oriented Policing Services”, $40,000,000.(b) Within 30 days of enactment of this Act, the Department of Justice shall submit to the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Senate a report specifying the amount of each rescission made pursuant to this section.(c) The rescissions contained in this section shall not apply to funds provided in this Act.
