Sec. 229. Section 1714(c) of title 38, United States Code is amended—(1) in paragraph (1), by striking “and” at the end;(2) in paragraph (2), by striking the period and inserting “; and”; and(3) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:123 STAT. 3308 “(3) service dogs trained for the aid of persons with mental illnesses, including post-traumatic stress disorder, to veterans with such illnesses who are enrolled under section 1705 of this title.”.
