Sec. 1003. (a) Amendments to Section 119 of Title 17, United States Code.—(1) In general.—Section 119 of title 17, United States Code, is amended—(A) in subsection (c)(1)(E), by striking “December 31, 2009” and inserting “February 28, 2010”; and(B) in subsection (e), by striking “December 31, 2009” and inserting “February 28, 2010”.(2) Termination of license.—(A) Termination.—Section 119 of title 17, United States Code, as amended by paragraph (1), shall cease to be effective on February 28, 2010.(B) Conforming amendment.—Section 4(a) of the Satellite Home Viewer Act of 1994 (17 U.S.C. 119 note; Public Law 103–369) is repealed.(b) Amendments to Communications Act of 1934.—Section 325(b) of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 325(b)) is amended—(1) in paragraph (2)(C), by striking “December 31, 2009” and inserting “February 28, 2010”; and(2) in paragraph (3)(C), by striking “January 1, 2010” each place it appears in clauses (ii) and (iii) and inserting “March 1, 2010”.123 STAT. 3470(c) Emergency Designation.—Amounts in this section are designated as emergency requirements and necessary to meet emergency needs pursuant to sections 403 and 423(b) of S. Con. Res. 13 (111th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2010.
