SEC. 1979. MANAGEMENT OF PRIORITY BIOLOGICAL AREAS.(a) In General.—In accordance with applicable Federal laws (including regulations), the Secretary of the Interior shall—(1) identify areas located in the County where biological conservation is a priority; and(2) undertake activities to conserve and restore plant and animal species and natural communities within such areas.(b) Grants; Cooperative Agreements.—In carrying out subsection (a), the Secretary of the Interior may make grants to, or enter into cooperative agreements with, State, tribal, and local governmental entities and private entities to conduct research, develop scientific analyses, and carry out any other initiative relating to the restoration or conservation of the areas.
