(transfer of funds) Sec. 9107. Funds available to the Department of Defense during the current fiscal year may be transferred to applicable appropriations or otherwise made available for obligation by the Secretary of Defense to repair or replace real property, facilities, equipment, and other Department of Defense assets damaged by hurricane Hugo in September 1989: Provided, That funds transferred shall be available for the same purpose and the same time period as the appropriations to which transferred: Provided further, That the Secretary shall notify the Congress promptly of all transfers made pursuant to this authority and that such transfer authority shall be in addition to that provided elsewhere in this Act.
