SEC. 401. ABANDONED INFANTS ASSISTANCE.(a) Findings.—Section 2 of the Abandoned Infants Assistance Act of 1988 (42 U.S.C. 5117aa) is amended—(1) in paragraph (4), by striking “including those” and all that follows through “ ‘AIDS’)” and inserting “including those with HIV/AIDS”; and(2) in paragraph (5), by striking “acquired immune deficiency syndrome” and inserting “HIV/AIDS”.(b) Repeal.—Title II of the Abandoned Infants Assistance Act of 1988 (Public Law 100–505; 102 Stat. 2536) is repealed.(c) Definitions.—Section 301 of the Abandoned Infants Assistance Act of 1988 (42 U.S.C. 5117aa–21) is amended—(1) by striking paragraph (2); and(2) by redesignating paragraphs (3) through (5) as paragraphs (2) through (4), respectively.(d) Authorization of Appropriations.—Section 302 of the Abandoned Infants Assistance Act of 1988 (42 U.S.C. 5117aa–22) is amended—(1) in subsection (a)(1)—(A) by striking “2004” and inserting “2010”; and(B) by striking “2005 through 2008” and inserting “2011 through 2015”; and124 STAT. 3514(2) in subsection (b)(2), by striking “fiscal year 2003” and inserting “fiscal year 2010”.
