SEC. 942. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR QUADRENNIAL ROLES AND MISSIONS REVIEW IN 2011.(a) Additional Activities Considered.—As part of the quadrennial roles and missions review conducted in 2011 pursuant to section 118b of title 10, United States Code, the Secretary of Defense shall give consideration to the following activities, giving particular attention to their role in counter-terrorism operations:(1) Information operations.(2) Detention and interrogation.(b) Additional Report Requirement.—In the report required by section 118b(d) of such title for such review in 2011, the Secretary of Defense shall—(1) provide clear guidance on the nature and extent of which core competencies are associated with the activities listed in subsection (a); and(2) identify the elements of the Department of Defense that are responsible or should be responsible for providing such core competencies.
