MODIFICATION AND EXTENSION OF AUTHORITIES RELATING TO PROGRAM TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF FOREIGN MILITARY FORCES.

SEC. 1207. MODIFICATION AND EXTENSION OF AUTHORITIES RELATING TO PROGRAM TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF FOREIGN MILITARY FORCES.(a) Temporary Limitation on Amount for Building Capacity to Participate in or Support Military and Stability Operations.—(1) In general.—Subsection (c)(5) of section 1206 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006 (Public Law 109–163; 119 Stat. 3456), as added by section 1206(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 (Public Law 111–84; 123 Stat. 2514), is further amended—(A) by striking “and not more than” and inserting “not more than”; and(B) by inserting after “fiscal year 2011” the following: “, and not more than $100,000,000 may be used during fiscal year 2012”.(2) Effective date.—The amendments made by paragraph (1) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply with respect to programs under subsection (a) of such section that begin on or after that date.(b) One-year Extension of Authority.—Subsection (g) of such section, as most recently amended by section 1206(c) of the Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 (Public Law 110–417; 122 Stat. 4625), is further amended by—(1) by striking “September 30, 2011” and inserting “September 30, 2012”; and(2) by striking “fiscal years 2006 through 2011” and inserting “fiscal years 2006 through 2012”.
