SEC. 1052. REPORT ON ESTABLISHING A NORTHEAST REGIONAL JOINT TRAINING CENTER.(a) Report Required.—Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the need for the establishment of a Northeast Regional Joint Training Center.(b) Contents of Report.—The report required under subsection (a) shall include each of the following:(1) A list of facilities in the Northeastern United States at which, as of the date of the enactment of this Act, the Department of Defense has deployed or has committed to deploying joint training.(2) A description of the extent to which such facilities have sufficient unused capacity and expertise to accommodate and fully utilize joint training.(3) A list of potential locations for the Northeast Regional Joint Training Center discussed in the report.(c) Considerations With Respect to Location.—In determining potential locations for the Northeast Regional Joint Training Center to be discussed in the report required under subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense shall take into consideration Department of Defense facilities that have—(1) a workforce of skilled personnel;124 STAT. 4358(2) live, virtual, and constructive training capabilities, and the ability to digitally connect them and the associated battle command structure at the tactical and operational levels;(3) an extensive deployment history in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom;(4) a location in the Northeastern United States;(5) the capacity or potential capacity to accommodate a target training audience range of 500 to 4,000 additional personnel; and(6) the capability to accommodate the training of current and future joint forces.
