SEC. 404. TITLE AND APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OF THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY. Section 103G of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 403-3g) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) by inserting “of the Intelligence Community” after “Chief Information Officer”; and (B) by striking “President,” and all that follows and inserting “President.”; (2) by striking subsection (b) and redesignating subsections (c) and (d) as subsections (b) and (c), respectively; (3) in subsection (b) (as so redesignated), by inserting “of the Intelligence Community” after “Chief Information Officer”; and (4) in subsection (c) (as so redesignated), by inserting “of the Intelligence Community” before “may not”.
