SEC. 444. EXTENSION OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION TO WAIVE MANDATORY RETIREMENT PROVISIONS. (a) Civil Service Retirement System.—Subsection (b) of section 8335 of title 5, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the paragraph (2) enacted by section 112(a)(2) of the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2005 (title I of division B of Public Law 108-447; 118 Stat. 2868), by striking “2009” and inserting “2011”; and (2) by striking the paragraph (2) enacted by section 2005(a)(2) of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-458; 118 Stat. 3704). (b) Federal Employees’ Retirement System.—Subsection (b) of section 8425 of title 5, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the paragraph (2) enacted by section 112(b)(2) of the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2005 (title I of division B of Public Law 108-447; 118 Stat. 2868), by striking “2009” and inserting “2011”; and (2) by striking the paragraph (2) enacted by section 2005(b)(2) of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-458; 118 Stat. 3704).
