SEC. 409. MISSION OF THE MARITIME ADMINISTRATION. Section 109(a) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the subsection heading by striking “Organization” and inserting “Organization and Mission”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “The mission of the Maritime Administration is to foster, promote, and develop the merchant maritime industry of the United States.”.
