SEC. 504. EXCEPTION TO REQUIRED RETIREMENT AFTER 30 YEARS OF SERVICE FOR REGULAR NAVY WARRANT OFFICERS IN THE GRADE OF CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER, W-5. Section 1305(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)— (A) by striking “A regular warrant officer (other than a regular Army warrant officer)” and inserting “Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), a regular warrant officer”; and (B) by striking “he” and inserting “the officer”; and (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(3) In the case of a regular Navy warrant officer in the grade of chief warrant officer, W-5, the officer shall be retired 60 days after the date on which the officer completes 33 years of total active service.” .
