SEC. 509. GOOD MORAL CHARACTER DEFINITION. (a) In General.—Section 101(f)(8) (8 U.S.C. 1101(f)(8)) is amended by striking “the crime of murder” and inserting “an aggravated felony (as defined in subsection (a)(43))”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply to convictions occurring on or after such date, except with respect to conviction for murder which shall be considered a bar to good moral character regardless of the date of the conviction.
