503.Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct an analysis of the potential safety risks associated with new and emerging consumer products, including chemicals and other materials used in their manufacture, taking into account the ability and authority of the Consumer Product Safety Commission—(1)to identify, assess, and address such risks in a timely manner; and(2)to keep abreast of the effects of new and emerging consumer products on public health and safety.
