SEC. 921. REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS BY THE COMPTROLLER GENERAL ON INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION SHARING. (a) Report.—Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees and the Comptroller General a report on actions taken by the Secretary in response to the recommendations of the Comptroller General in the report issued on January 22, 2010, titled “Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance: Establishing Guidance, Timelines, and Accountability for Integrating Intelligence Data Would Improve Information Sharing” (GAO-10-265NI), regarding the need to develop guidance, such as a concept of operations, to provide overarching direction and priorities for sharing intelligence information across the defense elements of the intelligence community. (b) Review of Report.—The Comptroller General shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a review of the report submitted under subsection (a), including a determination by the Comptroller General as to whether the actions taken by the Secretary of Defense in response to the recommendations referred to in such subsection are consistent with and adequately address such recommendations. (c) Appropriate Congressional Committees Defined.—In this section, the term “appropriate congressional committees” means— (1) the congressional defense committees; (2) the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives; and (3) the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate.
