SEC. 808. STUDY ON AVIATION FUEL PRICES. (a) In General.—Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study and report to Congress on the impact of increases in aviation fuel prices on the Airport and Airway Trust Fund and the aviation industry in general. (b) Contents.—The study shall include an assessment of the impact of increases in aviation fuel prices on— (1) general aviation; (2) commercial passenger aviation; (3) piston aircraft purchase and use; (4) the aviation services industry, including repair and maintenance services; (5) aviation manufacturing; (6) aviation exports; and (7) the use of small airport installations. (c) Assumptions About Aviation Fuel Prices.—In conducting the study required by subsection (a), the Comptroller General shall use the average aviation fuel price for fiscal year 2010 as a baseline and measure the impact of increases in aviation fuel prices that range from 5 percent to 200 percent over the 2010 baseline.
