SEC. 565. INCLUSION OF DOMESTIC DEPENDENT ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS AMONG FUNCTIONS OF ADVISORY COUNCIL ON DEPENDENTS’ EDUCATION. (a) Expansion of Functions.—Subsection (c) of section 1411 of the Defense Dependents’ Education Act of 1978 (20 U.S.C. 929) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by inserting “, and of the domestic dependent elementary and secondary school system established under section 2164 of title 10, United States Code,” after “of the defense dependents’ education system”; and (2) in paragraph (2), by inserting “and in the domestic dependent elementary and secondary school system” before the comma at the end. (b) Membership of Council.—Subsection (a)(1)(B) of such section is amended— (1) by inserting “and the domestic dependent elementary and secondary schools established under section 2164 of title 10, United States Code” after “the defense dependents’ education system”; and (2) by inserting “either” before “such system”.
