SEC. 2508. SOIL AND WATER RESOURCES CONSERVATION. (a) Congressional Policy and Declaration of Purpose.—Section 4 of the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977 (16 U.S.C. 2003) is amended— (1) in subsection (b), by inserting “and tribal” after “State” each place it appears; and (2) in subsection (c)(2), by inserting “, tribal,” after “State”. (b) Continuing Appraisal of Soil, Water, and Related Resources.—Section 5 of the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977 (16 U.S.C. 2004) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)(4), by striking “and State” and inserting “, State, and tribal”; (2) in subsection (b), by inserting “, tribal” after “State” each place it appears; and (3) in subsection (c)— (A) by striking “State soil” and inserting “State and tribal soil”; and (B) by striking “local” and inserting “local, tribal,”. (c) Soil and Water Conservation Program.—Section 6(a) of the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977 (16 U.S.C. 2005(a)) is amended— (1) by inserting “, tribal,” after “State” the first place it appears; (2) by inserting “, tribal” after “State” each other place it appears; and (3) by inserting “, tribal,” after “private”. (d) Utilization of Available Information and Data.—Section 9 of the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977 (16 U.S.C. 2008) is amended by inserting “, tribal” after “State”.
