SEC. 602. LIMITATION ON ELIGIBILITY FOR SUPPLEMENTAL SUBSISTENCE ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS SERVING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND ASSOCIATED TERRITORY. Section 402a(b) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by inserting “and paragraph (4)” after “subsection (d)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(4) After September 30, 2016, a member is eligible for a supplemental subsistence allowance under this section only if the member is serving outside the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or Guam.” .
