SEC. 8039. SENSE OF CONGRESS ON RESTORATION OF STATE SOVEREIGNTY OVER PUBLIC EDUCATION. Subpart 2 of part F of title VIII, as amended and redesignated by section 8001 of this Act, is further amended by adding at the end the following: “SEC. 8547. [20 U.S.C. 7927] SENSE OF CONGRESS ON RESTORATION OF STATE SOVEREIGNTY OVER PUBLIC EDUCATION “It is the Sense of Congress that State and local officials should be consulted and made aware of the requirements that accompany participation in activities authorized under this Act prior to a State or local educational agency’s request to participate in such activities.” .
