FRIGATE CLASS SHIP PROGRAM.

SEC. 128. FRIGATE CLASS SHIP PROGRAM. (a) In General.—As part of the solicitation for proposals for the procurement of any frigate class ship in any of fiscal years 2019, 2020, or 2021, the Secretary of the Navy shall require that offerors submit proposals under which the offeror agrees to convey technical data to the Federal Government in the event the offeror is awarded the frigate construction contract associated with the proposal. (b) Technical Data Defined.—In this section, the term “technical data” means a compilation of detailed engineering plans and specifications for the construction of a frigate class ship.
