ASSESSMENT AND REPORT ON ACTIVE SHOOTER THREAT MITIGATION AT SCHOOLS LOCATED ON MILITARY INSTALLATIONS.

SEC. 564. ASSESSMENT AND REPORT ON ACTIVE SHOOTER THREAT MITIGATION AT SCHOOLS LOCATED ON MILITARY INSTALLATIONS. (a) Assessment.—The Secretary of Defense shall conduct an assessment of strategies that may be used to address any security threat posed by active shooter incidents at public elementary schools and secondary schools located on the grounds of Federal military installations. (b) Report.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report that includes the results of the assessment conducted under subsection (a).
