DEFINITIONS.

SEC. 201. [49 U.S.C. 44701 note] DEFINITIONS. In this title, the following definitions apply: (1) Administrator.—The term “Administrator” means the Administrator of the FAA. (2) Advisory committee.—The term “Advisory Committee” means the Safety Oversight and Certification Advisory Committee established under section 202. (3) FAA.—The term “FAA” means the Federal Aviation Administration. (4) Secretary.—The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Transportation. (5) Systems safety approach.—The term “systems safety approach” means the application of specialized technical and managerial skills to the systematic, forward-looking identification and control of hazards throughout the lifecycle of a project, program, or activity.
